Mark Hartley's teaching career began after graduating from Gonzaga University roughly 40 years ago, earning his degree in American History, Literature, and Political Science. Mark has taught in Alaska, Idaho, Arizona and Washington. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as an outstanding Literature teacher. He loves history and tends to haunt unusual museums and dusty bookstores and will continue to do so if they can be found. Mark has published several newspaper articles based on interviews he and his students have done with people like Astronauts Wally Schirra, Harrison Schmitt, Ambassador Robert White, and Howard Cosell along with many others. Married for more than half his life he has two wonderful children. Mark and his family reside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
