Bob was born in Spokane, Washington and attended North Central and Lewis & Clark High Schools. He joined the Marine Corps in 1955 as a reservist and active duty from January 1958 to January 1964. Served with the Fleet Marine Force Pacific, and was selected for State Department Duty in 1961. Served at the American Embassy Athens, Greece until 1963 and discharged in 1964. Rejoined the Reserve Component of the Marines, Chief Warrant Officer as an Artillery Officer and transferred to Intelligence with duties divided between Spokane, Seattle, Washington and the Joint Intelligence Center Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii. Retired from the Marine Corps in 1998 at Camp Pendleton, California. He lives in Spokane, Washington and can be found hunched over a keyboard at all hours between morning and evening.
